How To Do Magic Tricks - Getting Started

Let me guess! You want to learn how to do magic tricks like Criss Angel, David Blaine or even the classic magicians like Harry Houdini or David Copperfield.
Now, whether you want to learn how to perform like these masters or just want to learn how to do magic tricks to amaze your friends or be the life of the party, the starting point will always remain the same.

My name is Tommy Pregon and with 20+ years experience in the art of magic I have come across many courses, books, and videos on the subject. I've been to many conventions and seen many professional magicians perform live.

Fact remains, most magic trainings leave out crucial pieces to the puzzle in order perform magic with a quality that many professional magicians possess.

See, there are a lot of factors that go into performing great magic than the actual trick itself. Most people get stuck on the 1-2-3 steps of the magic trick and simply overlook what it takes to perform great magic.

I've outlined 3 Elements that when implemented into your magic can make you shine above the rest...

* Having a killer routine
* Being Balanced
* Believing

1 - Having a killer routine - You must practice your routine just as much or even more than the trick itself for it to be actual magic. You have to sell yourself as much as you sell the trick.

Having a great story that goes along with the magic can make the spectator forget that they are watching magic which in turn will make the magic that much more impressive when it actually happens.

2 - Being Balanced - Balance is key when it come to the arts! Take two of the top magicians in the world, Criss Angel And David Blaine. Their approach in how they do magic tricks for people is generally the same. They remain very focused, undeterred & balanced in their performance. This in turn makes their magic balanced. And I believe is one key element to their success.

3 - Believing - It is easy to say that you believe in something. Not how often do you believe that something is 100% true?

When it comes to performing magic, if you don't believe with every rudiment of your being that magic is actually happening when you are performing that trick...then how are the people that you are performing for going to believe it is real?

This element is probably the most difficult to overcome...especially for beginners and even amateurs for that matter.

Criss Angel and David Blaine serve as excellent examples of believing in their magic

Next time you watch them do a magic trick, look at their facial expression at the end of the trick. I sometimes laugh, cause although they mystified and blew the mind of the spectator, It still seems that they believed the magic happened more than the actual person they showed the trick to.

These 3 aspects are fundamental in learning how to do magic tricks like a professional even though you may just be a beginner.

Also, begin with easy to learn magic tricks. Start small... practice in the mirror... one trick at a time... one day at a time!
